Buffalo Information Located southeast of Buffalo, Orchard Park, New York is a quiet little town in Erie County known for its scenic beauty. One of the most popular attractions is the Eternal Flame Waterfalls. The waterfalls are worth the steep hike because of the small cave behind the base of the falls which emits natural gas and is almost always on fire. The sight of the flame behind the curtain of water is quite striking. The waterfalls are located in Chestnut Ridge Park which is the largest park in Erie County. Besides the natural beauty found on the park trails, more sophisticated pleasure can also be found as the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra holds summer concerts at the natural amphitheater formed at the base of the sledding hill. The park also has twelve tennis courts and a disc golf course.

Another sporting attraction is the Ralph Wilson Stadium, home of the Buffalo Bills. Although the stadium has been the home of the Bills since 1973, recent upgrades have made it a fan favorite featuring covered seating and easy-to-view replay screens and scoreboards.

World class golf can be played at Harvest Hill Golf Course which features eighteen holes plus a driving range. Harvest Hill also has a top restaurant, Rooth’s Sky-Lite Bar & Grill, which has a full bar and a covered patio area that offers a great view of the golf course. Other good places to eat in Orchard Park include Taffy’s Hot Dog Stand and Ecki’s Restaurant, which is famous for its roast beef on kimmelwick rolls.

Fall brings the Quaker Arts Festival to Orchard Park. This festival is the largest in the area and awards over $10,000 in trophies and prize money to diverse artists and artisans. The festival is held on the third full weekend of September and is located on the campus of the Orchard Park Middle School.

Winter brings you back to Chestnut Ridge Park for the sledding hill. Traditionally used for sledding and tobogganing, you can also snowboard or cross-country ski on designated trails.
