New York City Information

New York is a place in perpetual motion, buoyed by restless energy. You’ll find designer knock-offs, world-class bagels, skyscrapers, Central Park, the bohemian cool of Greenwich Village, and old money on the Upper East Side. And after a years-long cleanup of its image, New York is safer than ever before.

No place in America, or perhaps the entire world, knows how to celebrate Seasons Greetings better than New York City! Regardless of how many times previously visited, you don’t know what you’re missing if it wasn’t during the holidays. For the final six weeks of every year, Gotham pulls-out all the stops with a large-scale approach that rivals the hosting skylines.

New York is a city of museums. It is a city full of art and art galleries. It can even be overwhelming at times. However, the one place that seems to have it all under one roof is MoMA (The Museum of Modern Art). Many would argue that this is the most important modern art museum in the world and has one of the best modern collections in the world.

The museum was started in the 1920s by visionaries like John Rockefeller. During the rise of Nazis in Europe, New York quickly became the hub of the modern art world and MoMA was at the center of this growth. The museum was important to promote modern artists like Pollock, Warhol, and Arbus. Today the museum has grown and has a collection of over 150,000 paintings, sculptures, and photographs. Even today, the museum is expanding and growing.
