Anaheim Information

Anaheim Information Anaheim is the most well-known city in Orange County. It gained notoriety for housing the famous Disneyland Park after 1955. There are roller coasters such as Space Mountain, water parks and an enormous castle dedicated to Sleeping Beauty. There is even a submarine adventure, an Indian Jones adventure and enough unique attractions to fill more than just one day of fun.

The accompanying Disneyland Resort is a popular place for families to stay and enjoy a variety of other amenities, entertainment and dining options. One of the most popular areas for all of these activities in the Disneyland Resort is the Downtown Disney area. The Disney California Adventure park is another attraction nearby. Games, mazes, Disney characters and Pixar characters await Disney enthusiasts. This park is actually separate from the original Disneyland and has a much more modern flare.

There is also adventure outside of Disneyland in Anaheim. Visit Anaheim Ice to enjoy ice skating and seeing a state-of-the-art skating rink. In the bordering city of Santa Ana is Orange County’s favorite little zoo. The Santa Ana Zoo has over 20 acres of animals from Central America and South America. While it is a small zoo, it is usually not very crowded and is a quieter adventure option.

True adventure seekers who prefer a more remote outdoor attraction will enjoy Black Star Canyon. It is the watershed of the nearby river and is situated in the mountains. There are legends of paranormal activity in the canyon. Investigators have visited the area several times to research the activity. Be sure to follow the rules for hours and bring water when hiking.

For fun away from Disneyland, try the Flightdeck Air Combat Center. Visitors enjoy a simulated flight in a fighter jet where they virtually take off, navigate and land the jet. To enjoy entertainment and great dining, Battle of the Dance is the place to go. Enjoy delicious food while watching one of the best variety dance shows in Southern California.

Another great choice for activities and sporting events is the Honda Center. This venue is home to the Anaheim Ducks hockey team. To watch a game, be sure to buy tickets as far in advance as possible. There are also big-ticket concerts at the Honda Center. Review the performance schedule in advance to plan a trip around a favorite performing artist’s appearance.
