For intrepid walkers, the Newport Southbank Bridge, also known as the “Purple People Bridge”, is a great way to get some exercise while trekking to the Newport Aquarium, in Northern Kentucky, where the whole family can get up close and personal with marine life from around the world.
Another bridge, both pedestrian and vehicular, the beautiful John A. Roebling Suspension bridge, is a great way to walk or drive to Covington, in Northern Kentucky, where there’s a great German cultural experience awaiting those who want to sample authentic German beer and cuisine. Roebling, and his son, went on to design and build the iconic Brooklyn Bridge in New York.
